Michelle Clow Fitzpatrick

Originally from Northern California, MICHELLE CLOW FITZPATRICK moved out to Los Angeles,CA in 2000 to pursue dancing & acting. Michelle has taught dance and choreographing since 1996. She currently teaches beg. through adv. levels of ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop to ages 10-Adult at DDC.

Michelle Clow Fitzpatrick

Originally from Northern California, MICHELLE CLOW FITZPATRICK moved out to Los Angeles,CA in 2000 to pursue dancing and acting. Michelle has been teaching dance and choreographing since 1996. She currently teaches performing arts to kids from the ages of 3 yrs- adult. As well as directing nationally ranked competitive hip- hop, contemporary/jazz, lyrical, cheer and song teams, choreograph for stage and convention shows up and down California , Texas and Nevada, for both High School and private studio teams. Michelle also has been the choreographer for a music video for Universal Motown artist After Midnight Project “Hourglass” and a sizzler reel for comedian Carly Peeters as well as choreographing and co-directing two of her music videos. Other places that you might have seen her are on American Dreams , performing in various music videos like Billy Corgan, O-town and N.E.R.D , as well as award shows like the MTV movie awards. She has studied under the likes of Paula Morgan, Benny Smith, Robert Shultz, Dante7, Chris Dupre, Doug Caldwell and Kevin Maher to name a few. Michelle's students have gone on to be successful in the entertainment business , with credits such as the Rose bowl with Leanne Rimes, Hulu’s Into the Dark, CW’s Legacies and Kung Fu, Nickelodeon's "Meet The Thundermans", “Grey’s Anatomy”, “One Day At A Time”, "Fresh Beat Band", Danceon's "Danceoff Junior's" , LA Sparks kids, and SYTYCD, national commercials for Barbie, Party City, Capitol One and My lil pony. Hosting shows like E!News and LATV, and dancing for Christina Aguilera with the LA Opera. As well as being members of Academy of Villians , San Francisco Ballet , Joffery Elite Nyc, The Harid Conservatory, Pacific Ballet Dance Theater, Spectrum Dance Theater and Juilliard. She is a current member of Dance Masters Of America, SAG/AFTRA, and certified Level 1-4 with the Paula Morgan Technique. Michelle also adjudicates for Star Dance Alliance talent competitions as well as 8 National Talent Competition.

Lisa Racina

Lisa Racina-Torre is a native of Denton, Texas, and holds a BFA in Ballet from Texas Christian University, where she was the recipient of the Arts Guild Scholarship for Dance her Junior and Senior years.  She started Denton Dance Conservatory (DDC) in 1988 and continues as DDC’s Owner/Director.

Lisa Racina-Torre is a native of Denton, Texas, and holds a BFA in Ballet from Texas Christian University, where she was the recipient of the Arts Guild Scholarship for Dance her Junior and Senior years.  She started Denton Dance Conservatory (DDC) in 1988 and continues as DDC’s Owner/Director.  In 1991, she founded and is the Artistic Director of the Denton City Contemporary Ballet, a non-profit dance company and it’s youth outreach company, DCCB II.  Over the past 30 years, Ms. Racina-Torre has choreographed extensively for the company as well as Denton Community Theatre, the Music Theatre of Denton, UNT Drama Dept., Wichita School of Performing Arts, Interlochen Arts Academy, and others. Her company sponsors the Annual COLLAGE: Denton Dance Festival, holiday production, “A Gift for Emma,” the Community Master Class Series, the DCCB Educational Touring Program, & the DCCB Annual Scholarship for Summer Study. Ms. Racina-Torre has spent two summers on the faculty at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, served as adjunct professor of Ballet at University of North Texas, and was selected as one of only 20 choreographers in the U.S. to attend the Regional Dance America Craft of Choreography workshop in the summers of 2001 & 2003. She formerly served on the Scholarship Selection Committee and Board of Directors of the Dance Council of North Texas. Her students have been accepted to highly respected summer dance and university programs all over the country, as well as dancing & teaching professionally, competing and winning dance competitions, etc. Ms. Racina-Torre has taken the Denton City Contemporary Ballet on two European tours to Austria as part of the Young Tanzsommer  Dance Festival in 2011 and 2014, as well as New York City in the summer of 2017 to study dance at some of the most famous schools in the world.  She continues to guest teach around the metroplex too!

Becky Acton

Becky Acton

Becky Acton was born and raised in Denton, Texas. She started her dance journey when she was 8 years old at Denton Dance Conservatory where she danced under Lisa Racina-Torre's direction until she graduated from Billy Ryan High School in 2015.  Not only did she dance at DDC, she also did two tours in Europe with Denton City Contemporary Ballet, by the age of 17. Becky was accepted as a modern dance intern, her sophomore year of high school, with the Dallas Black Dance Theatre, expanding her knowledge on classic modern dance forms.  She started teaching her own contemporary classes at Denton Dance Conservatory from 2015-2018.  After high school Becky continued her dance career with Mover's Unlimited under the direction of Kihyoung Choi at Tarrant County College.  

In 2017, Becky decided to pursue the art of Jiu Jitsu under Jason "Wildthing" Sampson at Sampson Jiu Jitsu Academy.   She trained there from 2018-2021, winning multiple International Brazilian  Jiu Jitsu Federation competitions, and even finished the 2020 season ranked number 65th in the World under the IBJJF's female Blue Belt rankings.  From 202-2021, Becky competed for the Carlos Machado Jiu Jitsu Competition Team representing the Machado name with great pride.  

DDC is proud to have Ms. Becky back "home," where she will be teaching adult classes, teen ballet, contemporary, and more!

Fiona Piper

Fiona has taught students from 2-70 years old and has a long and successful record for over 10 years training and getting them successfully through their RAD and IDTA exams from Pre-Primary to Advanced. 

Fiona Piper

Ms. Fiona trained with Claire Corbett at a local school in Gloucester UK and performed at local pantomimes, circus performances, festivals and competitions. She was even lucky enough to get picked to play a young Anna Pavlova when Ballet Creations of London came to the area to perform. Ms. Piper then began training with the Royal Ballet School as a Senior Associate. At 16 she was accepted and trained at Royal Ballet Upper School. The school was still housed with the company at this time and she was lucky enough to spend all day training in the same studios as legends Sylvie Guillem, Darcy Bussell and Jonathon Cope. While training at RBS she performed in Raymonda at the London Collisium.

In 2010 Fiona started teaching at Leamington and Warwick Academy of Dance under the principal Viv Kibble. Miss Kibble inspired her to get her teaching certificates with the IDTA (training with renowned Modern & Tap teachers Carl Walker & Ian Meeson-achieved with 96/100) and my CBTS degree with the Royal Academy of Dance. She is now fully qualified to teach and submit students for exams for the RAD and IDTA up to Advanced grades. She continued to learn from Miss Kibble and became a confident Tap teacher and have even taught Hip-hop and Can-Can to some adventurous adults. She has taught students from 2-70 years old and has a long and successful record for over 10 years training and getting them successfully through their RAD and IDTA exams from Pre-Primary to Advanced. 

Fiona also worked with the school’s performance group ‘Synergy’ and choreographed, taught and polished numerous competition and performance pieces for them and went on tour with them to Germany, Disneyland Paris and all around England.

Fiona’s students have been accepted as Junior Associates at Elmhurst, and Royal Ballet School and gone on to study at Northern Ballet, Ballet West, Royal Ballet School, Rambert, Italia Conti and many more.

DDC is so lucky to have Ms. Fiona on our Faculty! She will be teaching beginning through advanced levels of ballet, tap, jazz to our DDC dancers ages 3-Adult.

Amber Kellogg

Some of Amber's accomplishments a a professional dancer include assisting Hayley Mac Cooper and Aaron Burr with Showstoppers Dance Convention, opening for The Rockettes traveling show in Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as being a backup singer and dancer for local artists in the DFW area.

Amber started dancing at the age of 2 and quickly became passionate about Tap Dancing right away! Though she’s trained in all styles she truly enjoys making music with her feet! As a young competitive dancer she won many overall awards and scholarships. Some of her accomplishments as a professional dancer include assisting Hayley Mac Cooper, and Aaron Burr with Showstoppers Dance Convention, opening for The Rockettes traveling show in Raleigh, North Carolina, Singing and dancing in a show for Coca Cola, as well as being a backup singer and dancer for local artists in the DFW area. Amber is driven to share her love of Tap and all styles of dance with as many aspiring dancers as possible!

Nicole Probst

Nicole has a BFA in Communication Design & a minor in Dance as well as a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Texas Woman's University and is certified to teach art, dance, and theater!  She currently teaches theater at Lake Dallas Middle School and spends time volunteering for Theatre Denton!

Nicole Probst

Nicole began dance at the age of 11 and took classes all over the DFW area. She enrolled at UNT as a Dance Major with a focus on choreography and eventually graduated with a BFA in Communication Design and a Minor in Dance. Continuing her education years later, she earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from TWU and is a certified educator in Art, Dance, and Theatre. She currently teaches Theatre at Lake Dallas Middle School and spends time volunteering for Theatre Denton by serving on the Governing Board and Graphic Designer. She has choreographed many local Theatre productions including Cats, Cabaret, and Grease.
